The team BULLDASTAN joined the Rally Dresden-Dakar-Banjul in November 2012 to participate in a unique charity project.
Within 3,5 weeks we drove over more than 4,500 miles from Hamburg in Northern Europe to Banjul (Gambia) in Western Africa. The goal of the Low-Budget-Rally was not speed, but charity. That’s why our „rally car“ - a 1989 VW Vanagon - will be sold in an auction once we arrived in Banjul. The auction is organized by the NGO “Dresden-Banjul-Organisation” www.dbo-online.com and guarantees that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to local charity projects, such as schools and hospitals. Besides the donation, we will also try to generate attention to the smallest country on Africa’s mainland.
